Nirmala Public School, Erumely, has taken a significant step toward environmental conservation by launching its "Green Campus Initiative." The program includes banning single-use plastics on campus, installing solar panels, and creating a student-led recycling system. The school also plans to plant 500 saplings on its premises by the end of the academic year. Environmentalist Dr. Ramesh Kumar, who attended the launch event, praised the school's efforts and encouraged other institutions to follow suit. Students are excited to participate in the initiative, with many volunteering for the eco-club.
